I have named my website after the birthplace of my father - Mappowder. Meanderings is where I feel family research is taking me. This site also has the details of my other ancestors, the Foremans from Huntingdonshire, the Shrimptons from Buckinghamshire. The Miles - who until recently I thought were from London but I have traced them to Sussex, ironically from the same area that my husband's family came from and even more ironically that I have traced that line back to Penfold, which is my married name. The Weston line I have traced to Windlesham - so far. That leaves the Kellaway, a line very close to my heart and proving quite elusive. Great Uncle Robert went to Canada with his wife and baby daughter in 1905, I am attemtping to trace his descendants but I don't think they want to be found.

A lot of the photographs have been handed down to me directly, many have been lent to me to copy and some sent via email. Thank you to everyone who has sent me photographs and/or information which has enabled me to build this site.
